Diabolus in Musica
is a merry band of professional minstrels who provide a truly authentic flavour
of Elizabethan England. Wielding a breathtaking panoply of Tudor instruments,
they create a constantly changing soundscape, from the delicate strains of lutes
and recorders to the great and glorious shawms and bagpipes. Renaissance
improvisation techniques make every performance new and fresh.
They're an obvious choice for a wedding with a Tudor
theme, or Medieval if you're not being too precise. But your wedding doesn't
have to be historical. Many couples book Diabolus just because they look good,
sound good, and make them laugh. They're experienced entertainers, and they
specialise in breaking ice.
Diabolus in Musica
provide more than just music. If your guests are up for a bit of
participation, the minstrels will get them singing, dancing and generally making
fools of themselves. For really keen dancers, they invented The Tudor Ceilidh.
Diabolus in Musica
operate in various configurations to suit your budget. A duo is ideal for
smallish weddings. Go for a soloist if money's really tight, or if you want
maximum impact, book the Diabolus Waits, a full 4-part shawm band.
