Introduction
One could hardly imagine a more spectacular setting for
a wedding. A former Victorian Country House set in its
own private hilltop grounds of Park and woodland, a
photographers paradise, it is now a privately owned
Country House Hotel with breathtaking views over the
surrounding countryside. Formerly the home of the
America multi millionaire John Paul Getty 1st
and more recently the Queen of Yugoslavia it has been
used extensively by the television and film industry and
is the haunt of the rich and famous with visitors like
George Clooney and Uma Thurman to name
but two.
The Mackintosh restaurant, named after the famous
architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh whose work can be
seen adorning this former half panelled ballroom, acts
as the superb main banqueting suite whilst the Pink Room
provides a more intimate venue for the smaller
gathering.
Mike and Sheila Cooksley and their staff at
Heathercliffe have been offering professional wedding
facilities for over 25 years providing the highest
quality of personal service and advice second to none.
