Introduction
The University provides a wide
range of venues for both civil wedding ceremonies
and/or receptions, catering for small gatherings of
20, to grander affairs for 550 guests, and all
offering superb opportunities for the all-important
photography.
The impressive Whitworth Hall,
overlooking a beautiful ivy clad quadrangle, has a civil
wedding licence for 550 guests, and can also be used as
a reception venue together with Christies Bistro.
Alternatively for more intimate ceremonies, the Council
Chamber is licensed for 70 guests. We also provide a
choice of modern banqueting suites for up to 500 with
their own bars and dance floors for more relaxed
celebrations.
If you prefer a “country house”
setting, Chancellors Hotel and Conference Centre, set in
five acres of landscaped gardens, yet only 3 miles from
the city centre, is the perfect setting for weddings for
up to 100. We can even offer a stately home, Tabley
House, whose finely furnished rooms and terraced lawns
overlook acres of Cheshire countryside.
Every wedding is special and unique, so whatever you are
planning , please discuss your requirements with us,
and we will help to ensure you and your guests have a
day to remember.
