Introduction
Barceló Shrigley Hall Hotel was built in 1825 and bought by a well-off
Lancashire businessman. Since 1825 it has served
three very different uses. The country house and
home of the Turners and their descendants. A Roman
Catholic missionary college for over fifty years and
a hotel since the 1980's.The architecture and plan
of the building reflect all three periods.
Barceló Shrigley Hall is the ideal venue for a
perfect wedding. It not only has the unique Tilden
Suite which will seat 240 for a wedding breakfast.
It also has the traditional William Turner Suite
named after the private owners which will seat
120,along with several smaller Suites for a more
personal touch.
Over the last few months the hotel has under gone
some very positive changes, the tasteful
refurbishment of over 100 of the bedrooms along with
the fantastic conservatory courtyard bar. The
reception and public areas have also been addressed
giving a bright finish to an already beautiful
building, but the main focus here at the hotel is on
commitment and quality of service making it not only
a beautiful venue but the PERFECT venue.
