Pose for photos on our riverside terrace, feast on delicious food and drink and spend your wedding night in luxurious accommodation. Enjoy an intimate reception in one of several elegantly appointed function rooms or for a truly unforgettable wedding book the grand Ribble Suite.

Civil ceremonies and wedding receptions for up to 60 guests can be held in the hotel's elegant River Suite 1, while the Ribble Suite can host an evening buffet for up to 150 guests.

"Hello, I thought the staff were great, very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. I thought the way they acted throughout the day was excellent and very professional. I also liked being able to sit down and discuss the details of the day a couple of times as well. Helped me to know what actually happens on the day and made me feel more at ease.

I was also extremely happy with how they decorated the room, it looked stunning. Everyone was very complimentary with the food. I thought it worked very well with guest being able to go outside on the decking or sit in the bar if they wanted a break from the music and dancing. The views were good I got some great wedding pictures. Please thank the people who put the wedding cake in the fridge completely forgot about it!!! And the people on reception who found our marriage certificate after Paul lost it.

Loved the fact that all the decoration and cards and pressies were locked away for us to pick up the next day. It was a stress free day for both me and Paul and I would not have changed a thing.

I would definitely recommend it to anyone else as it was great value for money and excellent staff and surroundings.

The Macdonald Tickled Trout Hotel is located in the new city of Preston in the heart of the UK. Preston has direct access to the M6 and M55 (Blackpool) motorways - providing speedy links to the M61 (Manchester) and M65 (East Lancashire). The M6 has been widened to 8 lanes and the new junction 31a opens up strategic business sites at Preston East.

Preston is a principal station on the rapidly improving West Coast (London to Scotland) Main Line. Manchester is home to one of the UK's largest airports, providing links all over the world, and Preston is only a 45 minute drive from the airport and is linked directly by rail making the Tickled Trout an ideal location for those on business meetings. You can however gain easy access to the Tickled Trout from other expanding airports such as Liverpool, Blackpool and Leeds/Bradford.
